Overview

The Primary care and Community Neurology Society invites you to attend and participate in this unique one day event, the purpose of which is to present the thoughts and views of people who have a passion for supporting the mental health and holistic needs of people undergoing neurorehabilitation. We encourage all those who wish to attend 'Mind, Medicine and Music' to bring with them their passion, experiences and knowledge gained while caring for people who have lived or are living through any illness or condition arising from damage to their central or peripheral nervous system.

The aim of the event is to stimulate discussion, encourage networking, generate innovative thinking and to have fun, in order to identify ways to achieve excellence in neurorehabilitation.

The day will end with a fundraising concert. The profits from this event will be split evenly between the Brain Tumour Charity and Chasing Connors Cure.

EVENT DESCRIPTION :

The Primary care and Community Neurology Society (P-CNS) invites you to attend and participate in this unique one day event and evening concert. The purpose of which, is to capture and capitalise on the thoughts and views of people who have a passion for supporting the mental health and holistic needs of people undergoing neurorehabilitation. We encourage all those who wish to attend 'Mind, Medicine and Music' to bring with them their passion, experiences and knowledge gained while caring for people who have lived or are living through any illness or condition arising from damage to their Peripheral or Central Nervous System (PCNS).

The aim of the event is to stimulate discussion, encourage networking, generate innovative thinking and to enjoy the day, in order to identify ways to achieve excellence in neurorehabilitation.

We then invite you to end what we believe will be an uplifting and inspiring day, by enjoying an open air concert, in the wonderful grounds of the Raphael Hospital. Music will be provided by different musical groups including the Sevenoaks and Tonbridge Concert band, Hilden Brass Ensemble and others.

The profits from this event will be divided between the Brain Tumour Charity and Chasing Connors Cure.

PANEL DISCUSSION - Reaping the benefits of a community neurorehabilitation service.

We are thrilled to announce that Diana Speed, Radio 4 Newsreader and continuity announcer at BBC Worldwide, will be moderating and chairing the panel discussion.

Evening concert in the ground of the Raphael Hospital - concert goers will be able to wander in the wonderful grounds of the hospital and enjoy refreshments and additional musical entertainment will be provided prior to the concert. You may wish to bring a picnic rug.
