Bus trip to downtown Nashville looking at Civil Rights locations and then ending at the public library, with a librarian helping the group learn about important contributors, especially women, who are not often widely recognized. Visit to Jefferson Street, an important location for the history of African American music in Nashville and also the country music hall of fame, comparing the two histories presented. Lunch will be downtown.
